PS: Put in a screen shot of the popup sign-in menu, that is pretty cool :)
I really like the horizontal break with the darker blue underneath, it's quite welcoming.
Topic search looks great -- way to put it to the forefront, that seems a shift in focus and I think it's a timely admission that trending topic search (what people are saying about something right now; and even what news is now) is emerging as Twitter's larger strength (and the original 'follow friends and colleagues' purpose is stepping back slightly to allow this to happen).
Next up, Mr. B, are you going to do something with people search? Please oh please...
Guess this is a timely shift from "What are you doing right now?" to "What is going on right now?".
Actually, yes. You are completely right. In relation to how many updates (or Tweets) are sent from each respective country, Japan grabs the third spot on that list with 15%. Netherlands and Germany are number and two respectively. There are some stats on that over here http://twitterfacts.blogspot.com/
If I recall correctly, this has also been confirmed by Twitter themselves.
Make sense to translate the site in terms of population and indirectly growth potential. You also have to consider the fact that Japan, as opposed to Germany and the Netherlands, are not very crafty English speakers.
Yeah, login box is wicked. Will add a screen of that one as well.
Make sense now (Japanese twitter); lol at "crafty English speakers". It's sad how Japan is among the top tech-trend setters but have the annoying language barrier...
Engrish, anyone?
